Club Regripping
Playing with a worn out grip can hurt your golf game. With an old, worn grip you will tend to grip tighter for fear of it slipping out. Gripping tightly will cause tension in your hands, which will affect the rhythm of your swing, distance, and control. You should take a look at your grips. If they are worn out in a particular spot or are shiny, they should be replaced. At a minimum, you should replace your grips once a year. Another rule of thumb is to replace them based on the number of times you play per week. For example, if you play twice a week, you may want to replace your grips twice a year. The staff at El Rio has the ability to regrip irons, woods, and even putters. El Rio’s golf shop has grips available for both men and women from Winn, Golf Pride, and Lamkin. Do yourself a favor and check your grips to see if they need to be replaced.
